Decorating in Sutton ColdfieldSutton Coldfield decorator
Simon Collingwood has over 30 years experience of painting and decorating: walls, ceilings, woodwork, render and wallpaper, inside and out, for homes across Sutton Coldfield.
Simon Collingwood is a painter and decorator in Sutton Coldfield with over 30 years experience. He covers every part of the job: walls, ceilings, woodwork, render and wallpapering, interior and exterior, from a single bedroom to a whole house after an extension.
Much of his work comes by recommendation. One customer was sent to him by someone who "won’t let anyone else paint in their house but him".
Customers describe him as thorough, punctual and tidy, and say he asks the right questions and gives honest advice when he comes to quote.
Lounges, kitchens, bathrooms and garden rooms painted to an impeccable standard. Ceilings properly prepared, cutting-in crisp and every room left clean and tidy at the end. Exterior walls, render and woodwork are covered too.
Hallways, stairs, landings and bannisters decorated top to bottom, including panelled doors, dado rails and woodwork. The busiest space in the house, finished so it makes a good first impression every time the front door opens.
Feature walls and full rooms papered with patterns matched and seams tight, from damask prints to children's bedroom papers. Customers have had several rooms painted and papered at once to a very high standard.
Doors, frames, skirtings, panelling and fitted wardrobes painted in crisp whites or bold colours. Deep blue panelling, painted wardrobes and glazed internal doors all show the care that goes into the woodwork.
Bedrooms redecorated with smooth walls, crisp coving and neat woodwork, and children's rooms brought to life with fun wallpapers. Bedroom redecoration is one of the jobs customers mention most in his Google reviews.
Every room repainted in one go, for example after a new extension or before you settle into a new home. Customers have had Simon working on their house over several months and describe the finish as fantastic.

Simon has just painted 2 bedrooms and our hall, stairs and landing. He has done a great job - he is thorough, tidy and a perfectionist - all rooms look fantastic. He came and quoted for the job in June, asking lots of questions and advising on what he felt was necessary to complete the job. He kept us updated throughout and was always punctual. Finally, he was a lovely person to have around the house. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Thank you Simon.
